I always struggle to come up with a list of goals for a readathon, but I love achieving them so I will get through this. I have decided to set mainly non-reading goals (sounds silly, i know, but I will be reading!) and just swear off telly and homework for a week.
Goals:
Post daily updates of progress
Participate in 4 challenges
Visit other blogs every day
Tweet at least a little bit

I am hoping to read 2,000 pages (which is a lofty goal for me, i normally read about 400 a week)
TBR List: I have to read:
The Great Gatsby
Disobeying Hitler
Emma (at least start the darn thing. I strongly dislike Austen)
TBR List: Possible others
White Lies
Shots Fired
Dead Men’s Harvest
No Going Back
Beat
Point of Impact
Blood Bath
Clash of Kings

Goodluck to all the other BOBers! Can’t wait for tomorrow to begin so I can start!
It looks like you have lots of great reading ahead of you. I hate to admit this but I’ve never even tried Austen myself. Good luck with this read-a-thon and have fun!
Thankyou! I am looking forward to this BOB! I am excited to be able to start soon! Lots of Austen lovers out there, but I’ve found few romances I like
Looks like there’s some good reading coming up tonight! Good luck with the read-a-thon 🙂
Thankyou! I have enjoyed the first day – and finished a book, which is always nice!
Every time I try to read Austen I usually take lots of breaks. 🙂 I haven’t tried Emma yet, though I did see and loved BBC’s Emma last year.
Happy reading!
Yep – I think reading it over this whole week and taking lots of breaks is the way to go! I haven’t watched the BBC’s Emma, but the movie Clueless is a modern day retelling of Emma, and boy did I watch clueless a million times as a teenager! I’m hoping that will help me through the Austen agony
You know I never knew that, but now that you mention it I can so see the Clueless/Emma likeness!
Good luck with Emma!
